Ford is continually trying to better its iconic Mustang, and the 2019 model year is no exception. For 2019, this pony car has undergone a few changes, including two new editions and new technology. Here is a look at some of the 2019 Ford Mustang updates.
Bite the Bullitt
As an homage to Steve McQueen and the original Bullitt model, the 2019 Mustang Bullitt comes with 475 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque — that’s 15 horsepower more than the standard Mustang GT. It has a top speed of 163 and a six-speed manual transmission with Rev Matching. When you choose the Bullitt edition, you will have the choice of Dark Highland Green or Shadow Black, along with red-painted Brembo brake calipers, a 12-inch instrument cluster, and an electronic line-lock for when you hit the race track.
Check Out the California Special
Available in either the GT couple or convertible models, the 2019 California Special Mustang package adds a few exterior and interior changes to make your pony car unique. From its aluminum wheels with high-gloss Ebony Black-painted pockets and a unique front grille to its Miko® suede door and seat inserts and California Special badging, this Mustang certainly knows how to stand out from the crowd.
Get More Options
The 2019 Mustang now comes with an active-valve performance exhaust no matter the engine option you choose. This exhaust allows you to control the sound of your ‘Stang so you don’t have to worry about waking up the neighbors. The sound options include Quiet Time, Sport, and Track and this exhaust will require a specific equipment package and will cost you an upgrade of $2,895.
You will also find a better B&O PLAY® audio system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer in your Mustang’s cabin, along with two new colors — Velocity Blue and Need for Green.
If you’re all about the action, then you’ll want to stop into Sanderson Ford and test-drive the 2019 Ford Mustang for yourself.
