The 2020 Ford Edge is a family-friendly, versatile crossover that comes well-equipped with modern, sophisticated features. This year, it adds dual-zone automatic climate control as standard on all trim levels.
The Ford Edge is available in four trim levels: SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST.
There are two engines for you to choose between on the Edge. The standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. If that isn’t enough power for you, choose the ST model. It comes with a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that delivers 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque.
Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All but the ST trim come standard with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is an option.
Five people can sit comfortably in the Edge. The second-row bench can both recline and slide back and forth for added comfort. Behind the rear seats, there is 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold down the second row and you can use up to 73.4 cubic feet.
The Edge comes standard with lots of premium technology features including an 8-inch touchscreen equipped with the advanced SYNC® 3 system. You will also get dual USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® compatibility.
If you are looking for premium features, the Edge has a lot to offer. Choose from options like a hands-free liftgate, leather upholstery, built-in navigation, an upgraded sound system, and ambient interior lighting. The ST model adds a sporty look with suede-like seating.
Along with the connectivity technology, the Edge comes equipped with advanced driver safety aids to keep you and your passengers safe. These are part of the Ford Co-Pilot360™ system and includes blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
You want an SUV that delivers spirited driving dynamics but also offers great fuel economy. The 2019 Ford Edge does this with its standard twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine, which makes 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque for an enjoyable driving experience. Even with its sizable output, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost® is quite efficient, returning 29 mpg on the highway with FWD and 28 mpg on the highway with available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.* And with the available Class II Trailer Tow Package, the AWD Edge is a capable cargo hauler, capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds.
The 2019 Ford Edge introduces Ford Co-Pilot360™, setting a new standard for safety and confidence. Ford Co-Pilot360™ makes driver-assist technologies standard at every trim level, including Auto High-beam Headlamps, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. Things only get safer from there with available technologies like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering and Evasive Steering Assist, which help make the Edge one of the safest new vehicles on the road.
