2021 Ford F-150 vs 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 | Glendale, AZ

The all-new Ford F-150 is smarter, more capable, more versatile, and tougher than ever before. Not only does that mean that it’s better than any F-150 before it, but it’s also leagues ahead of the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500. Whether you’re looking for a hard-working truck or a premium ride with tons of presence, the F-150 is a better fit.

Capabilities

Got a lot of heavy stuff to move? You’ll be able to move more of it with the 2021 Ford F-150. The all-new F-150 boasts best-in-class towing potential, offering the muscle to move up to 14,000 pounds when properly equipped.* As if that’s not enough, the 2021 F-150 also beats every other truck in terms of max payload by more than 1,000 pounds, topping out at 3,325 pounds of potential.**

Another way that the 2021 Ford F-150 crushes the competition is by offering the all-new, class-exclusive 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6. This dynamic engine offers incredible power with 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque, which translates to 12,700 pounds of maximum towing potential.*** On top of that, this capable hybrid is expected to top 700 miles of range on a full tank according to EPA estimates.

Features

The F-150 also comes with a wide range of new features for the 2021 model year, many of which you won’t find on the GMC Sierra 1500. For example, the F-150 comes with an available Pro Power Onboard™ generator, which allows you to transform your truck into a mobile generator. With the hybrid V6 engine, you can generate up to 7.2 kilowatts of exportable power, good to juice a whole worksite of tools and equipment. Other unique Ford features include SYNC 4®, which, unlike the GMC Infotainment System and its max 8-inch screen, has an available 12-inch display. And with an Interior Work Surface, the F-150 easily transforms into a mobile office.

Engineering

The F-150 has also been redesigned for the 2021 model year, building on its Built Ford Tough® legacy. While the Sierra 1500 comes with a steel body, the F-150 has a high-strength, military-grade aluminum-alloy body. This reduces weight and improve performance, handling, and more. Plus, while the GMC MultiPro Tailgate improves functionality on the Sierra 1500, the F-150 has options such as a power tailgate and a tailgate work surface feature.

There’s just nothing quite like the way you feel when you’re driving a 2021 Ford F-150. You can experience that feeling firsthand when you take the new F-150 for a test drive at Sanderson Ford in Glendale, Arizona.
