2022 Ford F-150 Lightning in Glendale, AZ

Over more than a century, Ford has built a reputation for at least two things: powerful trucks and changing the way we think of driving. The all-new Ford F-150 Lightning combines these two strengths, resulting in an amazing truck that’ll change things for the better for drivers in Glendale, Arizona.

Incredible Power

Going electric doesn’t mean the F-150 Lightning loses its trademark power. In fact, it’s only gotten stronger. With its dual-motor 4x4 system and available extended-range battery, the F-150 Lightning will deliver more power and speed than any other F-150 before it. Ford is targeting output of 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque,[1] which tops even the mighty 3.5-liter PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6 and the F-150 Raptor. Grand Canyon National Park
Ford channels that power to make the F-150 Lightning the quickest truck off the line yet from the Blue Oval. Ford anticipates that its all-electric truck will sprint from 0-60 mph in the mid-four-second range, beating out the legendary Ford SVT Lightning.

Impressive Range

With the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, Ford ensures that you never need to worry about having enough power. With the standard-range battery, the F-150 Lightning will cover up to 230 miles on a full charge[2] — enough to make the trip up to Grand Canyon National Park without needing to stop.
You’ll get even more confidence with the extended-range battery option. Most models will offer up to 300 miles of range, which would cover you for a weekend drive up to Las Vegas.[3] The high-end Platinum model is no slouch, either, going up to 280 miles with a full charge.

Charging Options

Electric car charging infrastructure across the U.S. just keeps improving, and there are so many ways to charge your F-150 Lightning at home and on the go. For instance, you can charge your truck at home using a standard wall outlet or the available Ford Charge Station Pro. The Ford Charge Station Pro recovers up to 30 miles of range each hour, letting you charge your F-150 Lightning up overnight.
For faster charging or when you’re away from home, stop at one of the nearly 20,000 charging stations in the Blue Oval™ Charge Network. The FordPass™ app makes it easy to find the nearest charging station, and you can even pay for the charge through the app.

Ford estimates the 2022 F-150 Lightning will have a towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds[4] and a max payload of 2,000 pounds.[5] Whether your F-150 Lightning is a mobile office for your small business or the vehicle you take on your family vacations, it offers the power you need.
And speaking of family vacations, the F-150 Lightning is a seriously capable off-roader, with standard 4x4, four drive modes including an Off-Road mode, and protective equipment like skid plates. If you plan on hitting the trails in your truck, the F-150 Lightning is the perfect option.

Towing and Hauling Tech

As you’d expect, the Ford F-150 Lightning is loaded with advanced towing and hauling tech. Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ is one such technology that makes it easier to reverse while you have a trailer attached, and Smart Hitch measures the weight of your trailer.
Onboard Scales measures the weight of your payload both in the cab and the bed. Trailer Hitch Assist helps you hitch the truck to the trailer by automatically controlling the steering wheel and braking. It works together with available Trailer Reverse Guidance, which enhances visibility with camera views while reversing with a trailer attached.

Bed and Trunk

One innovative feature offered with the new F-150 Lightning is the Mega Power Frunk. This front trunk is specially designed to fit as much cargo as possible, be easy to clean with rubber floors and drainage, and offer power outlets and USB ports. This trunk is possible thanks to the lack of engine and the smart placement of the lithium-ion battery packs.
The bed has plenty of power options of its own, with four 120-volt outlets and a 240-volt outlet when you need serious juice. These are all part of Pro Power Onboard, which puts out an available 9.6 kW of power through outlets located in the bed, Mega Power Frunk, and in the cabin.

Interior Space

The cab of the F-150 Lightning is super flexible and designed for every driver’s needs, from professionals to families and singles looking for an electric starter vehicle. An Interior Work Surface is available that folds up from the center console, so you have a wide, flat surface for a laptop or to write on.
The spacious crew cab has plenty of room for you and your passengers, with a comfortable second row that seats three. This means that it’s a great option for families who want to take weekend adventures together. It also offers plenty of luxury upgrades on the Platinum trim that’ll make you feel even more at home when you get behind the wheel.

Infotainment Technology

When you’re driving an electric vehicle, it’s extra important to keep track of your energy use, and the F-150 Lightning has plenty of ways to help you do it. The F-150 Lightning offers available SYNC® 4A with a massive 15.5-inch vertical tablet touchscreen, which lets you use infotainment features as well as access vehicle information. The most advanced version of SYNC® yet also offers Adaptive Dash Cards to make navigation easier as well as perks like Ford Power-Up over-the-air updates.
One app on the SYNC® system is Intelligent Range, which keeps track of how much energy your F-150 Lightning is using in various conditions based on traffic conditions, weather, how much weight you’re carrying, whether you’re going up or down a hill, and more. Intelligent Range learns from this data and helps you get a better idea of how much energy you’ll use on a given trip.
Related to this is Power My Trip, another app that lets you plan your trip around the nearest available charging stations. Power My Trip customizes the trip plan based on current payload, which influences how much energy the truck will use over a certain distance.

Safety Features

Every Ford F-150 Lightning features Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology. This advanced suite of driver-assist features keeps you and your family safer on the go and makes driving even more of a joy.
Ford Co-Pilot360™ includes available BlueCruise, which uses Adaptive Cruise Control and other tech to let you drive hands-free on over 100,000 miles of American highways. When you enter a Hands-Free Blue Zone, simply engage the system and take your hands off the steering wheel.
